Installation doesn't install component

Nov 3, 2011 at 9:58 PM

I have searched all over the place in my BIDS 2008 and cannot find the GoogleAnalyticsSource task.  I assumed it would be in the toolbox under the Data Flow tab and Data Flow Sources.  Is there something I need to do other than click the MSI and go through the installation?

Hi squatt,

make a right click in the toolbox and choose "Select Items..."
Then under SSIS Data Flow Items select "GoogleAnalyticsSource"

Hi. I have the same problem, except that under select items, SSIS data flow items, "GoogleAnalyticsSource" does not exist. Have re-installed twice. Baffled as to why it does not show?

Any help appreciated.

Once installed, create a data flow task and go into it first. The component doesn't appear in the SSIS Toolbox until you're in a data-flow task. In my particular setup of Visual Studio, the component appeared in the "Common" section of the toolbox, not under "Data Sources". You can then move it to wherever you want.
